If there are any other
Twitter users out there, you should check out (and follow) the
minicon and
mnstf Twitter accounts.
I've been posting meeting reminders and other big announcements to the "mnstf" twitter account. And I plan to post any announcements I hear of to the "minicon" Twitter account during Minicon.
I'll likely be twittering about Minicon to
my personal Twitter account and will use the keyword "minicon" in all posts about the convention so people who
track the keyword "minicon" will see them.
If you have news you think should be posted via the Minicon twitter account, please get in touch with me. You can
direct message me on Twitter or track me down in some other way.
Don't know what Twitter is and want to find out more?
Here are some links to articles about Twitter.
The Twitter website has info of course (the
help section is useful), the
Twitter Fan Wiki is also cool.
Twitter accounts are free and can be tied to your cell phone so you'd get texts with all "minicon" messages during Minicon and neat stuff like that. (Twitter stuff can also be read on the web, via a feed, in separate twitter client software, Firefox add-ons, etc). Posts to Twitter can be made and received via instant messenger or cell phone text messages.
Twitter software I recommend: For the Mac, I like
Twitterrific. If you use Firefox, the
TwitBin extension is pretty cool.
Twhirl is an AIR app that will work on both Macs and PCs. There are
many other applications out there or you can just post/read via web page or text messages.
I'm happy to answer twitter-related questions I can.
