They do look like drowned rats, the little dears. /amused

Well, I'm sure that must have come as a surprise. Only 2 babies, huh? Poor you with the breech-birth. You must have been freaking out :( Glad you all got through it!

The breech thing wasn't fun but at least I wasn't freaking out as badly as my cheer squad behind me 9_9 Mama Mirage was about standing on her head yowling and looking like she wanted to kill me for making her do this, but baby got out without incident and scootched his way to milkies like a pro.

They were 5 hours apart so I wouldn't really be surprised to find a third some time in the morning, but she certainly seems done. Thankfully.

Aw, cute kittens.

I don't think I ever had a cat with a litter of two.

I'm glad it's just two, honestly. Mirage is a pretty small cat, and she had trouble getting the second one out. I'd hate to think what would have happened if there'd been more.

They look like little drowned rats~ The mama's being a trooper, and she has absolutely no qualms about us handling them as long as we stay where she can see them (which is a given).

The breech thing was kind of scary when it was happening, because his fat little belly was hard to get out, but all is well now. He doesn't seem to have suffered any adverse effects from inexperienced midwifing. oh god they're so slippery and hard to hold onto D8 I was worried I was going to break his legs.
