This makes me happy...

I finally finished a fic I've been writing for alicat713. You can find Schrödinger's Sara at my website or ff.net It's a little bit angsty, but I remain hopeful.

This makes me happy, too...

I still have candy to make, but 94 dozen cookies later, I am done with baking cookies for the season.

94 Dozen! That's insane! I always thought we went a bit overboard at my parent's and that's still only 10-20 dozen.

Well, cookies go to our neighbors (several with large families), all the agents at work, a few clients, several families in our homeschool co-op and the guy that works on my car.

I *do* get carried away, but it is a labor of love.

I have gotten better over the years at not sampling quite as many as I want to. But you have done such a fabulous job of taking care of yourself and losing weight this year not a single on of these would be worth it!

Yay! for cookies indeed!

The Christmas cookies is sort of my claim to fame with people who know me. One of the BEST moments of my life was about the 3rd or 4th year I took some to our neighbors with 5 kids...the middle daaughter opened the door and started squealing "The cookies are here! The cookies are here!"

I think you may remember from the great chocolate cake debacle of September (all your fault btw ;-)) that I am not much of a baker, with or without the help of Sailor Jerry, though I am forced to periodically and yet I can still say, damn those racks are cool! (snort I just complimented your rack(s). I am 12) You are like some kind of amazing baking force!

In humble restitution for the September cake debacle, I would like to bring you some goodies when we meet up, but I know Cassidy has some food issues...does she need special ingredients?

Also, if passing through this way is out of the way to Rocky Mount (I am SO geographically clueless, 'tis sad), I will TOTALLY drive somewhere that is not out of your way.

girl, I am going to pretend that is your fault your whole life! How long are you planning to make it up to me? I still haven't pinned the husband down to see when we are coming through where you live and I am clueless about all of it but will get back to you asap on that. Re cassidy - protein is the problem so she can have things that are sugar heavy or butter heavy but flour is okay in small portions (like she can have a small amount of most cookies - we just have to guess the phe) and nuts are very very bad.
