First, I hope you have a fabulous time on your camping trip. Don't stress too much about preparing everything, relax and take the time enjoy it. You know saying of ...it's not the destination it's the journey....? :)
I think that you should give to your friends what you are able to and find your piece in knowing that you are doing the best you can.
but there has been a feeling of running behind all week, being anxious, with a continual list of things I needed to do running through my head.
Oh God. The story of my life the past month. I move in in, like, ten days--nothing's packed. I've got five more days of WORK work before I only work four hours a week and am still trying to find time to just sit down.
God, isn't that the worst feeling? Having SO much to do and just feeling like "I am never going to get this all done" and then being so overwhelmed? A lot of times I just get so overwhelmed I don't do anything. EEEEEK!
First off, THANK YOU for the birthday wishes, virtual gifts, and the extra 2 months for my paid LJ account! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!! That was such a nice surprise to wake up to this morning :) You're so awesome :)
I think it's nice when a friend gives a little more than, "Hey. What's Up? Later." It makes the other person feel like they matter. So YAY for you being so thoughtful and caring. You do make people feel like they matter, and that's really important.
Sounds like you need a little time off, so go enjoy the seclusion of nature and all of that. Have fun camping. And THANK YOU!!!!!
You know that old saying: If you want someting to get done, give it to a busy person?
Well...*points at you*
Hugs, honey. Find some balance while you're tubing (or you'll be in danger of falling in).
Oh shit, I'm sorry...I can't help muself, but I do love you and support you and hear your wish to share every bit of love you have with the people you care about.
I definitely know white rabbit syndrome. :) The piles on my desk attest to it. I'm actually thinking of naming them all . As they've become semi-permanent fixtures.
You know, I'm good with a "Hi. How's it?" Because that's sometimes about all I'm looking for in return, is a "Fine. How's you?"
How about the fact that I haven't finished my Brass fic, yet alone gotten around to reading but a couple of either GF or BL ones. I'm such a bad fangirl. ;)
*Huggles You* Have fun camping. You rugged mountain woman you. :D

It is part of my practice to try to do a better job with the destination, not the journey thing. I'm just better at it sometimes than others.
I hope you're feeling better.

Thanks for acknowledging that I do try to let people know I care. It means a lot that you've noticed.
Love you lots (and yes, you are one of the people I owe an e-mail).

I came home with a sore back, a hemotoma on my knee, another scraped knee and a dog bite. I am a walking catalogue of injuries!
But, in spite of that, we did have a fun time. Camping is not my first choice for a vacation, but I do always have fun.
