Oh, it's so beautiful and wonderful and heartbreaking and warm. I love the way Team In-Law drew her in. Hearing these stories about Dave is so great, and makes me love him as much as Emily does. And I adore how teasing they all are and how it shows clearly their affection for her. I love that Dave and Emily are put in a room together, and how accepting Emily is of it. And then at the end. Oh man. I love it. Dave needs that more than just about anything, and the way he asked was just... *wibbles*

There's so much more that's perfect about this. Hotch's trust in her and the way he verbalizes that trust. His approval of their relationship, the way he tells Emily how to help most, and how he also shares that Dave did that for him. Dave's eyes following Emily and Rosalie noticing.

Oh, this just all breaks my heart in the best possible way. I can't wait for them to finally get together--but at the same time I just LOVE this slow build as they do.

Thank you so much. I wish I had the right words to tell you how much your support and kind words mean to me. But, trust me, they mean so, so much.

Probably the greatest compliment is that you think I am doing Dave and Emily falling in love justice. I do believe while they would be attracted to each other from the beginning they would be very slow and careful about seeing if it went anywhere...they would sort of know it would have to make it work and they'd have to be sure of each other. Plus...it's hard for both of them to be vulnerable.

Thank you so much for continuing to read and comment. It means the world to me.

It's gorgeous. The whole section. The BIL's and the sisters and Dave's reactions...everything. Funny and sad and sweet. Gorgeous. I hope you are really pleased with this because you are kicking butt.

Amen to everything innerslytherin said, and an extra bout of enthusiasm for the Mayflower crack. :) I also love the ongoing motif of Everyone and His Mother (literally!) seeing what's going on between Rossi and Prentiss except Rossi and Prentiss(!).

Seriously, at this point? If Rossi tried to tell his sisters he & Emily were just friends? They'd probably beat him to death with all three sets of his divorce papers.

I think these two, even as much as they care for each other, are going to be wary about getting involved...they both are cautious about being vulnerable plus they would be frightened to death of messing up the team dynamic.

Thank you so much for continuing to read and comment. I appreciate it so much...it makes me very happy. Thank you!

The whole story is great but everyone of your OCs is so distinct and perfectly crafted it is a pleasure to read. On occasions a less experienced or careful writer might have gone for the cliche (such writing Father Frank more like Emily's expectations)you studiously avoided it and delivered a glimpse of well fleshed out character who the reader knows has a personality and back story of his own even if we haven't learned it all yet.

Also completely second Theras' praise for the Mayflower repartee. Good for Emily for beating his Italian language skills!

My favorite, choke-on-your-soft-drink, line for the chapter...

"Better than any of my stories," John concedes. He turns to look at Emily. "You need to know it's okay to not have drama, Emily. They'll still let you hang out."

Snicker... someone need to remind John what Rossi and Prentiss do, you know, for a living. Separatist ranch hostage situations, serial killers, and the stray other-offending lunatic do plenty of drama make. ;D

Heh. At one point during the writing of this section smittywing said "And John is like OMG! This family is nuts!" Which IS probably what he thinks, though quite affectionately, I'm sure.

Thank you, as always, for reading and commenting. You make my day.
