Places to see before you die...

Opened up the present my sister left for me. It turned out to be a book entitled Places to see before you die, by Steve Davey. It is certainly an interesting list. I figured, what the Hell, here's the list, with the ones I've been to in bold.

1. Angkor Wat, Cambodia
   
2. St Petersburg, Russia
   
3. Havana, Cuba
   
4. Wat Phra Kaeo, Bangkok
   
5. Grand Canyon, USA
   
6. Taj Mahal

Heh. I've been told by my parents that they dragged me all over Italy, including Venice but I left it out since I have no memories of that whatsoever (I was very young!)...

Thanks. FWIW, when I spoke to my sister on the phone today, she took the view that it was supposed to be an aspirational and inspirational list. Then again, she can afford to take that view - she's been to more places on the list than I have. Only place I can think of I've been to that she hasn't is St Petersburg!

the drakensburg...of all places...I can think of better places to go...but if you like mountains it is a nice place
