Turn Your Lights Down.

I was going to comment on the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, but I figure if I've got nothing nice to say, better not to say anything at all. Besides, I'm really not in the mood to spew bile at the lame presenters and sexploitation that went on during the show. I will say that Chris Rock deserves a medal for hosting this show so well, seeing OutKast ( Read more... )

ahhh I so love Jack Black *happy sigh*

Dude There was no slashyness whatsoever that I could see between Jack and Will. Norrington rocked my socks on the other hand and Jack well durr *grin*

You know, I loved Jack and Will for their great dialogue and sparring scenes, and while I can see slash between them, I just don't want to read it. Orlando Bloom doesn't do a bloody thing for me, but Jack Davenport's Norrington needs to be teased, taunted and seduced to within an inch of his life.

the Madonna/Britney/Xtina thing was *highly* overrated, in my ever so unneeded opinion.

I didn't see it -- I only saw the last part of the awards show -- but I think I agree with you. I've only seen caps of the kiss, but I can already tell that its importance and shock-value is way overhyped.

I saw the whole of it and remain unimpressed. Pink's got back-up dancers who do more explicit stuff than that.

Yeah, but Pink's backup dancers aren't widely considered some of the hottest people on the face of the earth like Britney and Christina. So that might explain a bit of the over-reaction, if there was one.

If people are excited about it, that's perfectly fine; I was just saying that I thought it was overrated.

I agree. Got bored and found refuge from the dreck on my computer.

Well, at least the puppet sketches were bitingly funny.

I *thought* the icon looked familiar. ;)

I guess I missed the awards. Maybe they'll rerun them? About a billion times for the rest of the year?

Discovered that Johnny Depp in eyeliner is really hot, I've been on a quest to watch the few movies of his I haven't seen yet.

Hehe... funny how he affected so many ppl that way.

flaming pirate + repressed British naval officer = gobs of fun
Ohhhh.... yessssssss....... point me to it if you find it too. Or write it yourself. ;)

I'd also like to declare my adoration for Keira Knightley,

I have to confess I didn't care for her too much in this movie. She was too dead and unanimated unlike her role in 'Bend It Like Beckham'. She was so very very beautiful and full of life in that. And she's one of those women who look a *lot* better with short hair than long. I watch that movie for her as much as I do for Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

You haven't missed much if you missed the awards, although they were some good moments. It's mostly people making lame introductions and giving each other pats on the back for selling the most albums. You know, the usual.

If I find any Jack/Norrington, you can bet I'll bet pointing it out to you. In ten-foot high letters. With arrows all around the link. Spray-painted in red. ;)

I spent most of the VMAs hitting the mute button. Normally, I like the VMAs, but this year was just annoying as all get-out. I think it's just me and my hormones, though.

Awww, did Good Charlotte look hurt? Poor boys.
