Summary: Junsu got a flat tire and the only town around has a no trespass sign.
Junsu cursed his luck. His boots kicked the flat tire hard, making him curse again as the blow struck pain in his big toe. He looked around at the godforsaken country road. It was no longer an asphalt road, although it had once been. Blasted GPS! He knew he should have looked it up before. Now here he was, lost in the middle of nowhere, no signal, nothing.
With no other option, Junsu grabbed his bag and started walking. He could almost swear he had seen a signal indicating a town some while back. It was late afternoon and Summer, so not everything was bad yet.
The signal turned out to be for a town indeed. The dirt road was wide and upon closer inspection he could even make out the asphalt under all the grime. The tire tracks gave him hope. Someone obviously used this road.
The sun was getting lower in the sky. The breeze starting to make him glad for his jacket.
In the distance, lights. Finally!
What he assumed was the small town’s welcome sign suddenly came into focus.
Hell! That was no blasted welcome sign.
No Trespassing in big bold letters with the town name in a smaller print: Hex. Who the hell named a town hex? More surprising was when he noticed a scribble to one side. “Who are you and where are you from? We don’t like when visitors come.”
No trespassers? Yeah, my ass! Wait till ya get a load of me! Junsu lifted his head higher, squared his shoulders and simply walked into town as if he was some tv character strutting in slow motion.
Windows were open, lights were on, some doors slightly ajar. No one was in sight. The only business in town seemed to be a pub from where a piano tune softly came from. Junsu stubbornly set out to the pub. He needed a place to spend the night, a way back to civilization the following morning and damn, but he was going to get it.
Ahjummas loved and doted on him, ahjussis thought him cute and polite, women - both noonas and dongsaengs - lusted after him, even some men and boys too, and kids adored his smile. No one would refuse him help.
The wind suddenly picked up and Junsu had to face his head away and tighten his jacket. The surprise blast of cold turned his skin into goosebumps. When he got rid of the dust that tried to clog his eyes there was a man a few feet away, just silently staring at him with a smile.
Junsu almost jumped in fright, not having noticed anyone approaching. Steeling himself, he prepared to turn on the charm.
“Hi. My name is Kim Junsu. I’m travelling from Seoul to the coast here. My GPS got me lost and I got a flat tire a few miles in that direction. Can you please help me? I’ll be most happy to reward you.”
The man kept on smiling and studying him, top to bottom. Junsu had to fight his annoyance. Determined, he approached the guy.
“What’s your name?”
The smile suddenly turned predatory for a split second before going back to an almost goofiness. Junsu’s patience started to wear thin.
“Park Yoochun. A pleasure.”
The unexpected deep voice had Junsu thinking automatically of… well, sex.
“Ah… Nice to meet you. So, can you help me?”
“Didn’t you saw the sign?”
“No trespassing?”
“Yes.”
“Is that serious? Come on, I’m not out to robe the bank, defile the women or run away with the silver spoons. I’m just passing through, not even by choice.”
“Makes no difference. Still… maybe… yes… I might just go easy on your punishment.”
“What the hell are you talking about? Are you insane?”
Feeling a growing sense of uneasiness, Junsu turned away from Yoochun and started to walk towards the pub’s open doors. Behind him there was a woosh sound.
In the blink of an eye Junsu found himself kneeling on the dirty ground, a surprising weight holding his head captive and a hot breath on his neck. There was a hint of movement from the pub, shadows against the light of the open door.
“Mine. I do not share.”
The shadows disappeared.
“Let me go!”
Junsu tried to fight but he found he was against an unmovable force. Out of the corner of his eyes he could see Yoochun’s face up close. What he saw stole his breath away and stopped his heart.
“So pretty, so scared, so sweet.”
Yoochun was almost purring. His eyes had gone completely red. Between his lips, stretched by a wicked smile, the fangs were unmistakable. He used them to lightly scratch along Junsu’s neck, making the man’s pulse jump with blind terror.
“Hush, my pretty. I’m a nice vampire. You’ll see. A very nice hungry vampire.”
