the whole score is AMAZING, when i listen to it, i tend to hear it as one forty-five minute track rather than 11 individual tracks, there's lots of great repetitive themes. i'd send it to you, but i bought it on itunes -- i had to go searching for a non-protected version of that one song so i could put it up. still, i recommend it highly.

well, i have an itunes gift card from christmas burning a hole in my pocket -- on that recommendation, i think i know what i'm going to be doing with it. i have found that the single track you posted is excellent for putting on repeat on the ipod and just sort of letting my brain drift to, if that makes any sense at all.

oh, no, me too, completely. when i was writing my last final last quarter, i listened the entire score on repeat eight times in a row, and it allowed me to just sort of float through my essays on research methods without getting too distracted.

exactly! that's what the bsg scores are excellent for, as well -- just sort of floating without having the distraction of wanting to sing along, or look up lyrics, or see what else was on that bootleg from a doughty concert from 2003.

i have now acquired the whole soundtrack and IT IS EXCELLENT.

dear min,

i have spent the better part of the last three days watching sga. i am not in love, but i am for defs in like. i have just finished watching laura-in-rodney's-body necking with carson, which is the first thing in sga to make me squeal and clap like a retarded penguin. but what a thing omg. i think THUMBS UP for that.

i feel no urge to write fic, but i perhaps may feel some to read fic. hm!

<3,
dannies

dear danners,

that makes me very very happy to hear, because i love sg:a in a sort of wretched, retarded fashion, by which i mean immensely. if you would like to be reading some fic, i can happily point you here for several hundred things i have enjoyed, or to my own stories if you hit my tag for "fic:stargate atlantis".

also, many people who are not me have actual rec lists, but lord knows if i can come up with any links right now.

cadman-in-rodney's-body is one of the best s2 episodes. i love that episode a lot. also i love you.

dear minables,

i HARTH. doctor/scientist otp.

although i will admit that it's a little bit of a giveaway, misters, when neither of you can hide your disdain at the mere thought of a certain lt. col. or a certain dr. phd. getting with any girl at all. little bit obvious, mmkay?

i mentioned this, you see, minshine, because you were talking about your delicious tags, and i have found such things to be POIFECT when needing recs.

AND SO! i kind of want to see ford rehabilitated. and then he and ronon could get it on. or one of them and tayla. or all three.

loff,
dannerton

dear danniest,

that link goes to all my bookmarked sga fic, but you can pick through the "related tags" and find things by, um, "aliensmadethemdoit" or character or pairing or what have you. i highly highly recommend anything tagged "bestbeloved", and all four of the ford stories i have bookmarked are EXCELLENT.

ronon/teyla is my secondary otp of the show, but dr phd/lt col is number one with a bullet. *smushes them together*

there is some good ford stuff coming up later in season two, but i do not want to spoil you. *zips lips*

kisses and kisses,
min

ohhh, the english patient! i have that on cd somewhere, i need to track it down and import it.

i have not been wild about the HP scores -- they weren't bad, but they weren't as amazing as, say, the bsg soundtrack is. is three better than the others?

yeah. it's the only one i bothered to acquire. i know not bsg (yet), though, so i can't speak to that :)

lt.col, did you know that the guy who did the casino royale score is the same guy who did the stargate: the movie score? HILARIOUS.

especially since they sound nothing alike, although mr. david arnold does apparently have an ear for using a familiar theme in strange ways; the bond theme and the sg-1 theme both show up in their respective scores in the strangest places.

i have harmonica/cairparaval open to hit up when i get back to campus for class tonight; less than three, etc. also, re: instrumental artists -- you know my tastes, you know where we overlap, and you know i am not adverse to trying new things. if you've got stuff that you think i'd like, hit me, yo. i shall use such gifts to produce more stories about camshaft being very straight and fucking daniel jackson anyway.

There were all sorts of interesting possibilities for threesomes, weren't there? And certainly for some Cameron/Vala while they wait for Daniel to return. In a comforting each other/fight-sex sort of way. Or perhaps that's just me. ;)

well, you know me -- i ALWAYS think there's an interesting possibility for a threesome with those crazy kids. :) but what got me more was the emotional resonance of it: mitchell calling daniel, well, "daniel", vala's reaction to daniel's disappearance. the sexual tension has always been there, but i was rather gratified to see the emotional stuff showing, too. if that makes sense. :)

Oh yeah - and how calling him 'Jackson' didn't get a reaction but calling him 'Daniel' did. And of course Daniel running after Vala. And the little tugging war between Cameron and Vala about Daniel, which is just interesting in so many levels. *g*

Myabe I should go and watch it again. :)
