sfhsdfhdsh GOD, I love your Vala so much, and I love the way you write her and Daniel together. Favourite lines:

- Given everything you can say about Vala - she's a petty, self-centered, manipulative thief, to start - you can't say that she isn't smart. The double negative makes Daniel's head hurt every time she does something clever on a mission, unofficial fifth on SG-1, but it's the best way he has to explain it, and for some reason he feels like he needs to explain it.

She's a pain in the ass, but somewhere along the way she got to be his pain in the ass.

- He doesn't teach her how to use any of the download clients, and he deletes his credit card information from the iTunes music store, but three days after she rips the square white packaging open, his hard drive is full of *NSYNC albums and he opens his office door to find her sitting at his desk, watching illegally ripped episodes of Battlestar Galactica on the tiny video screen.

- He hates to explain that television isn't real, that Helo and Boomer and the Chief aren't

It sounds ridiculous, but this just hit me perfectly - both Daniel's reactions, his actions and feelings and Vala, in all her complex, irresistible, irrepressible Valaness. If I start quoting lines, I'll never stop, so I'll just say that it all rang so very true - the doubt, the interaction, the uncertainty, the lust, the absurdity and the sex. It just all felt so perfectly them, worked so beautifully well! Fabulous work. (And on an unrelated note, in addition to adoring this, after reading lines from your WIP, I absolutely cannot wait for the Daniel/Vala making out in the car and Vala trying to get Cameron's attention fic. But I wanted that last night, before you gave us this, and really, I'd be beyond ungrateful to ask for anything more after this!!)
