I had a recommendation for a book and thought of you: The Nerdist Way ... getting shit done for creative nerds. ETA: With permission to quote/paraphrase her review...
"more practical than psychological, funny, and geared toward a really specific type of person: the nerd, and even more specifically, the creative nerd. He talks a lot about the sort of person he meant by this: someone who can geek out over a topic in a really intense way, who lives a lot in their imagination, but whose focus & creativity aren't leading to productivity in the way that they obviously could if directed properly."
"For something that's really in some ways kind of a fluffy joke book, it's awesome and helpful, and it's an easy thing for you all to go grab from the library or pick up at a store and try out and throw away if it's not for you. I do not normally evangelize! Check it out!
*Warning: the book is very full of all-caps and swearing and dick jokes. This doesn't bother me, but if it'll bother you, never mind, you will hate it."
Yay Pinboard! No surprise, I'm ursamajor over there as well.
And I hear you about the posts sitting in the oven for a long long time, as stuff gets added to and subtracted from it. This may be ingrained behavior for me at this point, even given the amount of chattering I do on Twitter.
