We had it in a double-cassette set when I was a kid and listened to it over and over again in the car, and when I was in college my mom bought it for me on CD. No matter how many times I listen to

that is one of my all-time favorite albums. My parents were AT that concert. When I saw the clip of Pete and Bruce at the celebration this weekend, I jumped up and put the CD on and played song after song for liz, reliving my childhood of hearing Pete and Arlo and Woody's music and just - just - SO much love. SO MUCH LOVE.

usually i just plug my ipod in the car when i want to listen to it, but today i didn't feel like hauling it out in the snow so i stuff the second disc in, and tracey, it skips. i have a clean digital copy of it, of course, but my cd skips.

that's how much i've loved that album. so. just. yes.

It's all joy today - I was up at 4.30 & turned the TV on, and everytime I see the crowd in DC I get this *huge* smile on my face. We have done an amazing thing for the world today...
