How to Make an Author Smile

Earlier this week, I trudged to my mailbox.  There, amid the catalogs for clothes I don’t need and the flyers for food I don’t want to eat was a white Tyvek envelope, bearing my name and address.  Inside the white envelope was a manila envelope.  And inside the manila envelope was a *huge* sheet of paper, with a lovely message from Mrs. Lese’s ( Read more... )

Wow--I suspect I'd frame that and put it on my wall. The only time I got notes from a school class was the year I was working as a substitute teacher and I had a fourth grade class that was so horrible, I wrote a 3-page note to their teacher (after multiple threats to do so--you should have seen the looks on their little faces when I actually started writing it). In return, I got an individual hand-written apology from each child. LOL. I think I like yours better.
