Damn you, NPR!

If anyone was listening to NPR this morning, you heard A Boy Who Once Broke My Heart giving expert advice about the adolescent brain. NPR is now 2 for 3 in airing Boys Who Broke My Heart In College. (The other preferred to just ambush me directly by being a visiting professor where I work.)

Seriously, that was just NOT what I was expecting this

oy, life

It was one of those times where I was all "Wait, WHAT DID MY RADIO JUST SAY?!?!?" and there was his voice. (The last conversation I had with him was at a mutual friend's wedding like 15 years ago. Apparently we had a long deep conversation that due to Massive Amounts of Champagne, I have no recollection of whatsoever.)

I don't know how to knit, but I've always wanted to learn. I can latch-hook a rug like a mofo, though.

"Learning How To Knit" is on my list of "Things To Do Upon Turning 40."

(also on the list: learning how to tap-dance, which will probably be postponed until afterwards, because the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, where I was planning on taking it, has a class that STARTS at 9pm. SO not happening.)
