Moving Sucks

I hate moving. I hated it yesterday after going through most but not all of my crap to throw out damaged clothes and papers I didn't need (because I'm a pack rat and bad at this). I hate it more today than I did yesterday, after still having most the kitchen breakables to pack up and move over - and this was after getting all of the dishes, fine

(points at icon) If I had him grinning at me like that, that would be inspiration enough, although I would then ask him to help. (g) We just got behind, in part because our ancient dog had a medical emergency (she's getting better), so now we're rushing before the movers get here. My friend Tama is coming over tomorrow morning to finish packing/moving breakables and anything else that we would rather handle ourselves (like computers and baskets in my case), so that will help. Saturday night, though, I will crash hard, I think.

She's much better - we think it was pneumonia, although we haven't heard the final results from the vet AFAIK, and it was just seriously touch-and-go at first, and unfortunately it hit badly on the day we closed on the house (we ran her to the vet at 1:30, spoke to the vet around 2, and then closed at 3). She was at the vet for a few days, but she's back home now and back to her usual senile, ancient self (she's around 18). She's just trying her hardest to avoid taking her meds - even mixed in her food, she was stopping as soon as she ate one, so that's fun. (shakes head) She'll have a nice little yard at the new place all to herself, so that'll be good.
