Does the skill system have you confused? Well, hopefully this little guide will help you figure it out.

After a person has undergone five individual experiments, he/she will be allowed to choose whether or not to become an experiment assistant. (Read the FAQ for more info on what exactly an experiment assistant is.) Upon becoming an experiment assistant, the person will automatically receive one experiment point. One experiment point is equal to ten regular points, which are typically gained through helping the Metis scientists on experiment days.

The experiment assistant can choose to spend the experiment point on either a new skill or to increase the length of a skill he/she already has. At the start, however, one will only be able to choose a rank E skill. To get a skill of the next level, you need to have a corresponding skill of the rank below. For instance, to get a rank A skill, you need to have a rank B skill, a rank C skill, etc. If you want another level A skill, you have to build up another chain of lower level skills.

When referring to the skill charts, the "person" in question is whoever the skill is used on. If the skill user must be involved in the effect of the skill, then it shall be stated as such. Also, these charts are not readily available to the characters. The Metis Group only reveals the charts that the character is eligible for choosing a skill from.

The skill database will continue to grow, so don't feel like you're limited to only what is listed here. Feel free to submit ideas that you'd like to see!

Animal Transformation
The person will transform into the animal of the skill user's choice.

Flight
The person is granted the ability to fly, no wings required. (Speed and agility in the air increases with skill level.)

Mind Guard
No one will be able to read the person's thoughts.

Scent Alteration
The person will smell like something of the skill user's choosing. (The scent will become more potent with increased level.)

Super Speed
The person will be move extremely quickly.

Laughing Gas
The person will laugh uncontrollably, just barely managing to get a breath in to avoid suffocation.



Rank D Skills

Skill Name
Skill Effect

Age Change
The person will change age, as desired by the skill user.

Body Swap
The skill user will change bodies with the person the skill is used on.

Cloning
A clone of the person appears for the given amount of time. The clone will have some autonomy and will follow the directions of the cloned.

Gender Change
The person will change gender.

Mood Swing
The person will be in a constant flux of different emotions.

All-Seeing Eye
The person will be able to see everything, may it be invisible, hidden behind something, or otherwise. How far to see into or through something will be controlled by the person's thoughts.

Invisibility
The person will become invisible.

Mind Reading
The person will be able to read the mind of anyone around them. (Does not work against those using Mind Guard.)

Telepathy
The person will be able to move objects with their thoughts. (Strength of abilities--how much can be lifted, distance an object can be transported,etc--increases with skill level.)



Rank B Skills

Skill Effect

Ability Blocking
The person will be able to stop another person from using any natural special abilities they may have. Skills attained through the Metis Group are not included.

Elemental Control
The person will be able to use one of the following elements: fire, lightning, wind, water, or earth. Once the element has been chosen, it cannot be altered. (Power and strength of element increases with skill level.)

Gravity Control
The person will be able to control the force of gravity in a given field of influence. (Area of control increases with skill level.)

Invincibility
The person will be immune to physical harm.

Stop Time
The person will be able to stop time. Everyone save the person the skill is used on will be frozen in time, and that one person will be free to move about during this time.

Note: Skills have an one hour wait time between uses. The wait starts after the effects of the skill have worn off.
