This, darling, is stunning. I adored every last drop of it.

Their relationship is so understated and subtle, there isn't a ounce of drama, everything is so calm and collected. I love how you crafted their relationship in sight of how he was dwindling with Bill, but not because of it. I love how they just talk and how Tom is attracted to Sean because of how wise he is. I love that there was no comparisons to Bill; Sean is his own, new entity and Tom doesn't second-guess that.

The band was lovely, too. You built them so familiar and loose. I love their little breakfast outing and the Kings of Leon joke, that was hilarious. Just everything about this is comfortable and smooth, steady and slow paced. It felt light and just brilliant.

okay, so when you said you were sure i would love this one? you were absolutely, positively right. you already know i love your writing and style, and your empires fics are so lovely in general, but this was something else entirely! i was up early today so i got to take my time reading this now and i'm so glad i did. the writing is so true and so effortless. everything about this is wonderful, but the conversations especially are pitch-perfect. great job on this. probably your best fic thus far. ♥
