The milky white stuff on the surface of my copper, I concluded, was Silver Chloride. AgCl is ok though, I can still precipitate silver from this if I really wanted to, using a base. But I put most of it into evaporating dishes, and placed them into a vacuum oven overnight. I hope to be left with a really saturated AgCl solution, which I will attempt to grow a crystal from over the next month or so (let it grow really big) and then put it on display somewhere
