Wow, rad! It looks like a piece of the ship in Farscape, which was biomechenoid and a similar color to this metal, or at least the patina on it.

thanks!
the "rad" means a lot coming from someone as brilliant in design as you are.

actually, that WAS quite the bitch because the original jump-ring i soldered onto the back of the pendant was going the wrong direction, but i finally managed to fix it. it DOES lay flat when it's being worn, but the pendant piece turns a little bit when you just hold it up... it's flat, not hanging in the picture, so it looks a little funky.

very cool! that'll look hot on.

I loved my jewelry class. I wish I had the cash to take it up again...

That totally looks like Vulcan jewelry from Star Trek, so you know it's groovy in my book.

i like it. how hard is metal-to-metal soldering to pick up? i just have an entry level gun but i'd like to try it for some instrument designs. i'm decent at electrical soldering but that's just melting lead and sticking wires in it. what you did looks quite challenging.

once you get the "heat management" part down, it's not hard at all. until you get into things with crazy angles, or bezzeling funky sized stones... i'm not really sure that electrical soldering is anything at all like metal soldering, though... it's not that expensive as far as materials go, so you should give it a try sometime. i bet you'd come up with something amazing.
