This is so wonderful! I love the reverse narrative - that works really well, and shows the growing chasms between Sirius and Andromeda and the rest of the Blacks more sharply than a normal arc would have. Your characterizations are also spot on - the ambiguity of Andromeda's love for her family and sisters, and yet her fierce defiance... I love it!

Thank you so much! I am really glad the reverse timeline worked for you--that is always a little anxiety provoking. I am really glad you liked Andromeda. I enjoyed trying to get into her head and make her the person we see snippets of in the book, but still a Black.

THANK YOU! :)

This. is. amazing. SO cleverly constructed, SO well-written! It just leaves me wanting more. In particular I was sad not to get more loving scenes between Sirius and Remus, just because I love them so much, but it was very well-balanced so I guess it makes sense not to feature them more. I think the parallels between Sirius and Andromeda, and the ways they affect eachother throughout the years, are very insightful.

Please, more!

Oh, thank you so very much! I am really pleased that you enjoyed and grateful you took the time to leave such a lovely comment. Heh, more Remus/Sirius is usually a good thing, but yes, this was more about how Andromeda and Sirius' live intersect and intertwine.

I have written a fair amount of Remus/Sirius if you are looking for more. My masterlist is under construction, but most of the R/S should be captured under the tag (r/s).

Thank you so very much!

Wow! I've never read anything that parallels Andromeda and Sirius like this does. This is fantastic! I think the backwards timeline works because we do no the bones of this story from canon and this way it doesn't end at the department of mysteries. The wealth of detail here and the beauty of the love scenes makes me feel rich. This fic is a gift better than Christmas!

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment!! When I read avendya Andromeda-centric story, I just kept picturing how Sirius' life paralleled some of it. I am so glad it made sense to you. It was fun to use the reverse structure and I'm really pleased that it wasn't too confusing. How lovely to say that the descriptions made you feel rich--what a beautiful thing to hear!

I have no words for how much I loved this! Sirius and Andromeda are, indeed, a like pair: brave, forthright, and capable of great and wondrous love. And it was fantastic to actually see that love between Andromeda and Ted. So often, we just take that for granted, but you managed to make her so real.

But it was the glorious details that really haunted me here:

* Remus' laughing eyes and how that theme kept recurring.
* That heart-breaking kiss on the spine.
* Regulus and how both Sirius and Andromeda felt about him.
* McGongall and her shortbread ("Have a biscuit, Potter.")
* The very idea of kissing and how much both Remus and Sirius loved it.

And so much more.

Fantastic!

Thank you so much!!!! I really wanted to be true to the original characterization (in avendya's fic) of Andromeda and add Sirius as an important element in her life and her in his. I figured that Ted and Andromeda must have had something special, so I am glad that relationship came through. Hee, thank you for the notes on what "haunted" you. :) We both know that Sirius loves Remus' eyes and his smile and kissing that smile, so there is that. Thank you!! ♥
