Floods like this generally do not affect everyone. There are always a few who are left out.
And this is...relatively calm compared to other floods that we have encountered. The magic it takes is very interesting, as well. Nothing I have ever seen.

Not everyone, no, though it does seem my mind's been tampered with. It's all rather unforgivably rude.
And excuse the question, but... 'mana'? Something of an archaic term to use so casually.

Archaic? Mana powers most magic. At least it does where I'm from, it seems magic operates differently for others.

Oh, forgive me. There's no real existence of magic where I'm from, so I haven't heard the word mana used since the nineteenth century.
You might speak with Dr. Hix if you're curious about the workings of magic here. He's quite the academic about the whole thing.
