Tell me ones that I should read. :'D I'm rapidly running out of Fables to read and will quickly perish if I am not provided with more sources of amusement. I demand specific series or titles, please don't tell me to read Batman or whatever ( Read more... )

Fables is fantastic! What do you think of the series? I didn't really like Jack of Fables, though.

Y: The Last Man - I have mixed feelings about that series.

There's Neil Gaiman's "Eternals" http://www.amazon.com/Eternals-Neil-Gaiman/dp/0785121773

I actually haven't done Jack yet, good thought though! Should go put in my reserve for that, haha!

I like it so far but it's really weird, I hope it gets more involved with the actual plague soon... I'm on vol 4 or 5, I don't remember.

I actually did read the Eternals not to long ago! I liked it, maybe they'll make an Eternals 2 for me to read next :'D

Most definitely. It's worth finishing, at least. I just was not enthralled and was less and less fascinated with how a comic with an all-female cast still manages to be incredibly misogynist. But then again, I hate everything, so YMMV.

You should read Blankets, by Thompson, which is very good but not in a superhero blowing things up sort of way. It's good in a 'I am a sensitive soul and I express myself through my art' sort of way.

I enjoyed Tezuka's Buddha series, which has the bonus of allowing you to feel smart while you read it.

Also, because superheroes beating up superheroes who beat up other superheroes are awesome, you should read Kingdom Come by Waid, if you haven't already.

Oh fuck... I completely agree on Runaways.

Hercules is fun too. A bit cheesey, but where else can you see this?

The new line of Captain America is a bit hard to follow without knowing the character's background. That being said, its not that bad. Marvel as a whole is kind of a cluster fuck outside of a few books that tend to be skipped by the whole "Joe Quesada's Magical Crossover Adventure" stint that's been going on the last few years.

There's X-Force if you like your X-Men in all black and killing shit. Also, Wolverine is in it (just like 10 other books, no I am not kidding).

Actually, I can't think of anything. Comics for the most part are shit as of late, but I continue to read them anyways.

Recent release stuff I've been sticking to all the Stephen King crap that's been coming out (dark tower, stand) and a new one called Dead Irons that's also a horror-western, so I'm not real up-to-date on my marvel anyway. xD I'm fairly up on Cap though, I'll probably read it anyway eventually.. I have a job I can read at these days so I go through a retarded amount of graphic novels (thus this post...)
