I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY SISTER AND 10-YEAR-OLD NIECE HAVE NEVER SEEN/READ HARRY POTTER. MY SISTER WROTE TO SAY THAT THEY JUST SAW THE FIRST MOVIE TOGETHER AND SHE WAS MAD AT ME FOR NOT MAKING HER DO IT EARLIER

It's so confusing. I honestly didn't know how to respond. I... sorta ASSUMED that they had already seen Harry Potter a million times over.

She says that they have no plans to read the books, which make me go [headdesk], but that's another issue.
