MOAR knitting

I had a fab time at a trunk show for A Stitch in Time volume 2 last week, and finally got my hands on a copy of the book. 80 vintage patterns, reknitted in modern yarns and resized where appropriate (in other words, berets are the same size, but the cardigans are not '34in bust or nothing'). The blanket which I wrap myself up with on the sofa, day in day out, year round, was knitted from a kit by my grandmother and is falling apart. I should find similar to teach myself to knit-I can't justify starting with scarves as I already have dozens.

A simple cushion cover, hat or bag might also work as a good starter project.
