Woah, I never knew what happened to Roger Ebert... I used to watch "At the Movies" with Ebert and Roeper all the time and then one day Ebert was gone and there was a guest reviewer each week. Then eventually Roeper was gone as well and there were just some new people that I didn't particularly feel like watching. I always wondered what happened, and I'm surprised it took this long for me to read about it!

Anyway, that's not exactly the point of this entry, though. I always thought your ability to speak/write Japanese was amazing! I always see you having so much fun talking to your pixiv friends on Twitter, and I'd always think "Oh boy, I wish I can be like that some day!" It's very impressive, and I think you should definitely be proud of how far you have come! Looking to constantly improve is something that helps a lot, I'm sure. Maybe one day when I'm not so busy, I'll start trying to learn some Japanese again.

I think many people didn't know what happened to Roger Ebert... after an article like that, the word spread much faster. It's good that people know what really happened, I think. The image on the page shows it in more words than the text...

Thanks! I'm happy you thought so. I am having a ton of fun with them and with the recent inclusion into Skype conference calls, I'm trying to speak, too. I am happy to know Japanese than to not at all... however like art, I think it's something that I'm need to keep doing for a while to get better at it. That thought is quite discouraging but I don't see myself quitting any time soon. It makes me wonder if one could ever quit from such thing.
