I would still love to go to art school period.
Would have really been nice to be an artist...
Hey, I hope you find a school!

whats wrong with paying grad school yourself? my parents paid my undergrad but i would never dream of them paying my grad. my sis paid/borrowed her way through business school and my brother will be borrowing his way through med school soon. im applying to some fullyfunded MFA programs (but might still need to take loans for cost of living) but since those are crazy hard to get into (2% acceptance rate) im not hedging my bets and preparing for the possibility of going to law school, in which case i will be taking out a lot of student loans @_@
most people go it through their undergrad/grad careers paying or borrowing their own way, so its not impossible if you really want it :)
my best friend dropped out of berkeley to go to SJSU for art but her mom forced her to go back to cal.

Well, I was thinking of doing that, to pay for it myself by getting a job first, and saving up. But then what happens when I need a letter of recommendation? Should I ask my boss at that point or something?

i'd advise doing something i didnt do (because when i was an undergrad i NEVER considered grad school)- ask teachers NOW for recs, and get them saved through your uni's career center service that keeps recommendations on hold.

How long can they keep recommendations on hold? D: Wow, I didn't know they had that kind of service...

You can apply for some fellowships or ask the school if you can get a TA position that may help pay for part of your tuition.

Thanks.

You're in UCSC, too. Who is this?

You probably do want to put down jobs that may not matter as much to the one your'e applying to. Sometimes it just helps to show that you're responsible and versatile; your potential employer might think that that could come in handy, right?

But that's just my thinking, haha. I obviously haven't had nearly as much experience as you have, so. XD

Take a quick nap or play a quick game? Usually makes me feel better.

Hm, games... something I haven't touched for a long time.

Maybe it'll wait until the weekend... thanks.
