I always wonder how far should one go to feel that... oh, it's just the internet? I mean, just because it's the internet, is it okay for me to do this or that?
I think that internet friendships can be pretty strong and that the internet can be an excellent avenue towards meeting new people. When I'm online, I try to represent who I am too. I think that a lot of people actually are trying to just represent who they are... and there appears to be a wave of "whatever" circulating through various things. I think that stealing is still stealing... even if it is a community online, it's still wrong. I can see how morals can be bent... but I think that if you're representing yourself, then your morals shouldn't change just because you're online.
People react differently. Yes. People get offended by different things. Okay. ...but it seems like the growing answer for people acting a certain way is that over the internet, nothing matters. I'm sad? Emo kid. I'm mad about something? I surely must be overreacting... I guess this goes past the internet as well, because people in life are starting to act the same way...
I can't stress enough how much I agree with this. Lately I feel like I can't say anything without people telling me that it's not important, or, "Oh whatever", I get the feeling that they're not really listening because they've "heard it all before", and they can't be bothered. That because they've heard it before, they wonder why I get a certain way, that I should be done with it or something.
I guess I should just go on saying what I like to say. Life is so difficult, but I'm going to pull through and make this one a good one.
Also, Miluda is level 38. I don't have time to play... and not to mention the fact I had to remake her when she reached level 29 (so I started over from 1 again) because I got my own account.
This is actually stuff I've spent years thinking about. I'll tell you what I've come up with.
It's as real as you want it to be. A lot of people don't put stock in friendships or other kinds of relationships because they see them as not real. Because you're not face to face with someone and interacting personally.
I'll concede that over wires and a computer monitor, you're certainly not relating to someone on a personal level- if by 'personal' you mean person-to-person in the flesh.
However, you can certainly choose to relate to someone on a personal level over an internet connection, if by personal in this instance you mean sharing yourself, your thoughts, your feelings with someone else

I really like the things you say, Jesse. It's always full of thought...
What I choose to do here is what I would like to do, and the same thing in real life...
I think the way people react is just a fascinating thing. It's always because they don't react to it the way I do. So I kind of want to understand them...
So it just comes down to what you consider is important... isn't that right?
Thanks. I guess mostly it's experience that's taught me to think on things more than I normally would. I'm an introspective person at heart, though you probably wouldn't figure that at first glance XD
*nods* I think you've got it. It's always a matter of personal choice, doesn't matter where, doesn't matter what.
People are all very different, no matter how alike some may seem. Each person is a universe of thoughts and actions, each one fascinating be it negative or positive. That's why I love meeting new people.
And yeah, in the end, what's important to you is what matters. I mean, how much attention are you going to pay to something that you don't think is important? The honest answer would be 'very little or none' I would think. And I find it fascinating the things that people find important.
*ponder* Well in my opinion, the internet is still REAL and it's still real interactions. THe problem is though, that a lot of people don't treat it as such hence the art theft, etc. is all taken pretty lightly. There also seems to be this attitude that the internet is not meant for anything serious- becuase it's so acessable and such, so it CAN"T be what professionals do, and that hell "we're all kids here" sorta feel is defiantely there.
I myself have made a buncha good internet friends and I love them to death, but sometimes yea I really do wonder how well i know them and how well they know me. But can't really figure that out, and I sorta don't wanna because i like being able to have FAITH in them that they are good genuine people and that they believe the same of me.
Depends on people, I think. Some people like it online more because they can articulate themselves, and everything is recorded down, so... you can always look back again if you don't understand something.
...people can pretend to be other people... but it doesn't mean everyone is doing it. Can't people pretend to be someone else in real life? Identity theft, right? Or just flat-out lying

I suppose it's just like in the life offline-- your make your choices, and you live by them. Right?

I have many internet friends all whom I love deeply. The way I care for them is the same I'd care for any other that I know in person.
