I was looking for a place to put in Kirsten's POV and this chapter was the first opportunity. I also wanted to get in a scene showing the support of Ryan's friends.

As far as Luke goes, like I told 60schic, you just have to remember that at this point nobody knows that Luke is having an affair with Julie.

You mean the part where it was a good thing that he wasn't "somewhere else" (i.e. having an illicit rendezvous with Julie)? Because if he was with Julie, he wouldn't have an alibi either, unless he wants to tell the world about his December-May affair...
