A mug of tea (green, with lemon) rests on the bench in front of her. Both of her hands are wrapped around it, as she sits in the corner of a booth with her back to the wall.

A 'verse-wide legend says that beginning today, the gates of Hell will open to allow the dead to walk free.

And every gate swings both ways.]

A bloke walks into a bar. No, really! Barstool, Guinness, ashtray, and a plate of paradoxes with vinegar. Life is pretty damn good for John today.

BTW, he has no idea about the Armaggedoning going on (and, er, neither does mun). Anyone wanna fill him in? Or if not, come chat anyway.

[OOM: Yesterday was River's birthday. So the crew celebrated it during the day, with a special present from Mal, and then there was an after-dinner excursion to the parents' house for more festivities. And then, at the very end of the day, two surprise visitors of the Endless variety. Note: last OOM is still in progress.]

[OOM: Mal, up late as usual, is making tea when Death stops by for a visit. There is tea, in a not-woeful sort of way. For once.]

At the corner of the bar, the End of All Things perches, drink in hand.

It is entirely possible that a top hat sits next to her on the bar.

It is also entirely possible that it's been a good while since she's had a drink.

All things are possible, really.

[OOM: Mal leads his crew to his ship's namesake, and at first, Mal finds it at first to be a bit harder than he'd imagined.

The crew moves from the memorial for the fallen to the Serenity Valley Cemetary to, finally, the Valley itself.

[OOM: Tonight, we have visitors.

This morning, with breakfast, Simon Tam receives Edward Chao in his cell. Then River Tam receives the same visitor, with results that are a lot more disturbing. Several hours after this, River gets another visitor.
