Claire is sitting in what might as well be her spot on the couch near the fire, rocking a sleeping Seth. Yesterday he turned ten months old and they had a little party, just the two of them. Today he said his first real words ("Ma-ma", naturally) and she hasn't stopped smiling since.

I think it's love.

Peacekeeper, hastily stashing her knitting in the bag. Of course it's not a christmas present for Claire or Seth!

"Claire." She approached, hesitantly. She spoke quietly so as not to wake the baby. "It's been a while."

"Hey, Aeryn," she looks up with a grin. "It has been awhile. How are you?"

"Better than usual." Came the reply. "You, and Sawyer?"

Aeryn leaned over, looking at the sleeping form.

"Seth has grown."

"We're doing very well," she grins happily and then looks down at Seth. "He has. He turned ten months old yesterday."

Michael smiles at them on his way past.

She glances up and smiles at him, waving a little. She hasn't seen him in ages.

He waves back and wanders over.

"Hey."

"Hey, Michael," she smiles and nods at the empty seat beside her. "How have you been?"

Lookit! A Shannon! Who hasn't seen Claire for, like, eons.

"Hey!" It's a quiet hey (because, you know, sleeping child), but quite enthusiastic nonetheless.

"Shannon!" Claire beams at her and beckons her over to one of the empty seats around them. "How are you?"

Shannon accepts the seat.

"Actually? I've been good." This obviously weirds her out a bit, so she moves on. "What about you? God, I haven't seen you for forever."

"It has been too long," she agrees. "I've been. . .very good, actually. Busy but things have been going pretty well."

Oh, Lord, what will they talk about now that they're both happy?!

"I did see Boone the other day, did he tell you?"

He notices, and smiles, but he says nothing. It's pretty damn cute and mostly, he's just enjoying the warmth of the scene since he doesn't know either of them.

In this bar where everyone knows you whether you know them or not, it's not unusual to feel someone watching you from time to time. Claire shifts Seth in her lap and glances around the room, catching sight of Darien and offering him a friendly smile in return.

He smiles back before deciding he should ditch the stalker vibe and walk over. He gives her a respectful nod before grinning at Seth.

"Cute kid you've got there."

He's quiet.

"Thank you," she smiles proudly and gestures at a nearby seat before offering him her hand. "I'm Claire and this is Seth."
