Gray Jay is outside again, building his little house. There's no iron in evidence, now, only wood stacked and ready for the building.

Nearby, a pair of foxes sit, watching the man go about his work.
They're quite interested too, particularly the silver vixen.
Well, foxes are curious animals, and this is bound to get their attention.
Especially when the pile of wood and the house being shaped reminds the red dog-fox of the i'toshaa-ni ritual of cleansing.
If that is what he is doing then we should not be here lir, or we will profane his ritual...
...the dog-fox continues to watch...

He notices them, of course, and turns in that direction, addressing them.
"Ho-hoka, cousins."

The dog-fox looks puzzled. It's not a word he's heard before.
I believe it means "hello" or "greetings" lir.
But not in the Old Tongue.
They come over to examine the house and the man.
He seems friendly enough.

He generally is, unless people annoy him.
"Do you two live in the forest?" he asks conversationally.
