Ramon is back in the bar. He frowns a bit when he walks in, looks around...and then heads upstairs straight away. He looks better than he has done in a while, which possibly isn't all that surprising. Still, temporarily living in another universe doesn't stop him having to deal with some issues that are obviously important ( Read more... )

"Oh," says Castle dully as he walks past, "you're back."

'Temporarily,' he says, just as dully. 'I'll be in and out for a while.'

"Random said you were out of the cells." He shrugs vaguely. "I just hope you don't run into Chase or the Bauers."

'You're behind, Castle - I've seen Jack already. He ran away, to use his own words.'

Yes, possibly because the man had things on him mind and because Random was there too, but he's not about to tell Castle that.

"Hi again."

Diana doesn't know about anything, seeing as she'd probably turn a certain terrorist inside out if she did.

But she's leaning over the back of the booth with a sunny smile.

He looks up, not placing the voice for a second. 'Hello. Diana, right?'

"Yep. And you're Ramon."

She laughs, and sips her coke.

"Been a while."

He wonders briefly if she's laughing at him, then decides he doesn't care. 'I've been occupied. Detained, you might say. How are you?'

Raven wasn't entirely sure how she felt at seeing Ramon in the bar, but at least Arithon wasn't present. She had not been there when they'd come face to face, but she'd heard about it.

She uses her book as a sort of hiding spot to peer over the edge of the pages to watch Ramon as he enters the bar and asks for paper and a pen.

Part of her wanted to apologize- profusely to Ramon for ...whatever had happened when she'd spoken to him in the cells, but part of her didn't want to get anywhere near him, afraid that he'd actually try to strangle her for causing that litle episode.

Not that she couldn't defend herself. Just that she didn' want to cause anymore stress than there already was.

Or that Ramon would just randomly attack her..but still the thought was there.

Ramon looks up and recognises the figure partially hiding behind her book. He winces, because the memory of that little episode isn't one he really wants to dwell on...but he's s'Ffalenn. And he'd just recently decided to make an effort to try.

So he gets up and walks over, but stays a unintimidating distance away. 'Raven? Can I talk to you?'

Raven swallowed back a lump of nervousness and sat up a little more in her head. "Yes, sir?"

She'd be polite, after all he'd done nothing to her and he- in her eyes had served his time.

He sits down and eyes her, not realising that that might be unnerving. he'd stop if he knew. 'It's Ramon, you dont have to call me sir. And I wanted to see if you were alright after...' He waves a hand. Figures she'll get what he means.

Gorlim peers over at Ramon from his booth nearby. A thought comes to him that Ramon would not be the best person to speak to if he wants to learn how to make a terminally depressed Vala understand joy... but then, G. K. Chesterton wasn't helping much, either.

Gorlim shuts his poetry book and heads over.

"You're back," he says, forcing a faint smile.

He smiles also. 'Si. Not for long, but yes.' There's a hand waved to get him to sit down. 'You want a drink? I wanted to talk to you.'

"You did?" He plops himself down, and drops the book on the table with a thump. "A drink would be good, yes. I suppose you're going back to Texorami, then? Is Random around?"

latino_menace October 12 2005, 01:58:28 UTC
'What'll you have then?' He gestures to a rat. 'Random's at rehearsal, he's coming back for me when he's done so we can go back to Texorami. And yes - just wanted to see how everything's going. With your daughter and Namo and everything.'

This is Ramon after he's decided to try and be nice, in hopes of becoming uncursed. Also, he likes Gorlim. So he adds, 'And I wanted to say thanks for coming to visit. It was an interesting conversation.'

Ramon doesn't know this person. So at least there is no guilt at looking at her.

And, to be honest, she draws attention even if she doesn't want to. At seven feet plus some, but still with that gangling, lanky shape to the body that says "teenager", she sticks out.

The fact that she walks with her left side toward a wall at all times, has her hair (pale, pale blonde) in front of that side of her face, wears a brown leather glove on her left hand, and limps slightly adds to the "sticking out".

And, as an added irony, she looks like a (very, very tall) younger sister of Svava.

And because she sticks out, Ramon notices her. Of course he does, how could he not?

He nods at her politely, even as the resemblance to Svava crosses his mind. 'Do you have a sister here?'

"I don't have sisters."

Her voice is slightly slurred, and she turns to look at him without facing him full on,

"They say that one of my brothers was here, and an alternate version of the other one and my father, but I don't have sisters. I think Slepnir is male, too. So."

She shrugs, her left arm doesn't work quite right.

'I'm sorry, you just look like a woman I know.'

It's filtering through to him that yes, she's very tall and she never seems to look at him directly. He's curious, and bored of waiting for Random.

'Buy you a drink?'
