Post wedding madness, Charlie sits at the bar. His tie is undone and there's a Guinness in front of him. He's doing something he hasn't for a long time: writing on his hand with a Sharpie pen.

"Doesn't that hurt?" Gil asks, passing with a tray of glasses. "You look ever so smart. Was it a good wedding?"

"Nope, doesn't hurt at all." He regards his hand. "Washing it off will be interesting, though.

"Thanks. It was . . . a wedding." He shrugs.

"Weddings are like that," Gil agrees. "Unless it's your own, of course, in which case I expect you're too terrified to notice."

He smiles at Charlie's rather grubby hand and goes on his way.
