Edmund has been in the bar for some time now without an entrance post, because his player is a doofus.
Just at the moment, he's got tea and his notebook again, sitting at a table in the middle of the room.

Tea sounds like a good idea. Blaise moves to the bar to get some and accidently bumps the table Edmund is sitting at.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
Reply
"It's okay. I'm actually glad I'm dead. It may sound horrible, but I am. It's much better here."
He smiles a tiny bit, thinking of the girl sleeping in the bower outside.

"Do you by any chance know a young woman named Kitty Pryde?"
Reply
"I'm afraid I don't. Why?"
Reply
"What you said just reminded me of something I'd spoken about with her. She said she knew a few people who were glad they were dead."

Reply
"I suppose it would, with a few people, although I'd think that with most it would simply give them more problems."
Reply
"I suppose. But most aren't in love with a girl who is already dead. Or have a father who wants them to work for a dark wizard."
Reply
"And I take it that that's the case with you, rather?"
Reply
"When I first came here, I was alive. But then I fell in love with Ophelia, who was dead.
My father... in a year I was to pledge my allegiance to a man who I had no desire to serve. So I helped the other side. My father was not too happy about that."
Blaise needs tea. So he orders some from a passing rat.

"He might not have been, but were you?"
Reply
"Was I happy about what? Helping the other side? Yes, I was. I wanted to do it. It got me killed, but I'm still happy that I helped."

"Like I said, my father wanted me to work for a dark wizard. This dark wizard wants to kill all muggle-born wizards, and anyone who stands in his way. There are a group of wizards who are trying to stop him. I helped that side."
He takes a sip of the tea.
Reply
"Right, sorry."
And takes a sip of his tea.
"I'm sorry you died, but I suppose I'm quite glad for you that you managed to solve several of your problems when you did so."
Or... well, glad isn't quite right, but then neither is solve.

"What part of England are you from?"
Yes, he is changing the subject. Why do you ask?
