Lestat and Marius stroll into the bar, both of the vampires cutting a fine figure in their new clothes from Italy. Tradition dictates that one is not supposed to upstage the bride at a wedding, but there is no bride, so they have, instead tried to upstage each other

Quietly, Khayman turns up beside them.

Marius claps him on the back. "Khayman! Glad you could join us!"

[vampire_brat]

Lestat sees Khayman, in the bar! and calls, "Does this mean I can use my basement for storage space now? Louis and his damn books..."

"I was going back; the clock is yet ticking," Khayman says by way of an explanation.

"You've been talking about this event, so I wanted to be there." He grins at Marius, with an indication that a back-clapping contest might actually not be a good idea with mortals about.
