The door swings open, and through it walks a very confused man. He absently brushes sand off of his gray t-shirt and jeans, and his bare feet tread carefully.

"What in the hell?"

Sawyer has come to Milliways.

Milliways, the restaurant at the end of the universe. *she points to the universe destruction viewing window*

He looks out the window. "Uh huh. Now, since when is the end of the universe sittin' somewhere in the middle of the damn Pacific?"

Ace is in a terribly good mood, all things considered. Which is probably why she does what she does next.
"Technically, not hell. Considering the current atmosphere, we can come bloody close though." She replies cheerfully. For once, she's at a booth near the door, and thus in a prime location to greet this shabby newcomer.

"Hell, anything's better than that damn island." He walks over to her booth grinning. "Nice jacket."

"Ta." Ace looks him over. Hmm. Yankee, from the accent. Definitely rascal material. This place feels more like home every day.
"'M Ace, welcome to Milliways. Sit down, if you like." she offers.

"Sawyer, and I'm so happy to see an honest-to-goodness chair I think I might have to celebrate." He slides into the booth and stretches out in the seat.

Charlie looks up from his drawing to see the last person he ever expected to walk through Milliways's door.

He sighs, considers hiding, and closes his notebook. He rises from the table and walks over.

"Hey, Sawyer," he says with as much politeness as he can manage.

"Charlie Boy! Damn, son, how long have you been hiding this place from the rest of us?"

Not long enough, Charlie thinks but manages to keep a smile on his face. "Welcome. Hungry? Normally the Bar could get you whatever you like but she's gone mad, so we'll have to make do."

Charlie is a firm believer in sink-or-swim.

And Liam, with a big brother's nose for a Situation, is suddenly standing behind Charlie, offering Sawyer a pleasant smile.

"Hey, little brother."

A short, pretty blonde curled up in a booth somewhere is grinning at him.

Sawyer's not a man to overlook a woman's attention. "Evening, sweetness. What's got you so happy?"

Tony shakes his head. "Yeah, I know the feeling."

"How 'bout it, amigo? I get up to take a leak, and I end up in Cheers somehow."

Tony raises an eyebrow. Amigo? "Yeah. This place is weird. But you'll get used to it. I think. What's your name?"
