The bar door opens, and Bartleby standing in it, holding a limp, blonde body in his arms. There's a heavily pregnant woman leaning against him, and when the door opens she gives a small cry and begins to slump to the floor. Bartleby can't catch her - he's cradling Charlie's corpse.

He looks around hopelessly.

Gil approaches hesitantly, his face pale and set.

"What can I do?" he asks, then shakes his head. There's nothing anyone can do other than what they are all doing - being there to show they care and to share their grief.

"He's... dead." Bartleby's eyes are wild.

[gil_whimple]

Gil presses his lips together and sniffs.

"I know, dear one, let me - let me fetch a blanket?"

[watch_wait]

"I..." Bartleby turns away to listen to Richard, and turns back. "I'm... I'll take him upstairs. Could you bring it up?

[rob_anybody]

Rob watched from a corner of the room, clucking to himself and shaking his head. It was always sad when someone became alive, when their soul went slam-bang back into the big cludgie in the sky. But then, they'd die and get back to this, heaven, again after all, so it wasn't so sad. It was a shame that the bigjobs never seemed to realize it.

Well, he was too busy drinking scumble to go and tell them and he doubted they'd believe him anyway, so he kept drinking and watching with bright* eyes.

*Albeit slightly glassy.
