He has been standing outside, staring at the sky. The red sky.

Dagor DagorathWere it only that alone. Or the chaos inside. But when he closes his eyes, he feels change upon the air. Whispering in the trees, singing from the water. He feels it in the earth ( Read more... )

Claudia's still surveying the damage herself; things weren't this bad when T-Minus went down, and she'd been planning to avoid the bar after hearing what Tyler had to say about it.
But the bar had other ideas.
So she's having a look around as best she can without leaving the bridge device alone - because wouldn't it just be peachy if she lost an Artifact in Milliways, even if it's broken.
"...Crap," she says. "Tyler wasn't kidding."

"You have heard something about what is happening here?" he asks, still keeping at least half of his attention on what might possibly happen elsewhere.

Claudia nods. "Kid I know thought he had a door home but got dumped into the Warehouse instead. I wasn't even trying to get here, but... I guess the door had other ideas."
She was nowhere near the door they actually have in inventory; that probably counts as a door malfunction, really.

"So roads - or doors - stop leading where they ought? That is ominous," he says. Gravely.

The world unraveling.

Somewhere along the way, he has acquired a golden-haired shadow. Glorfindel is, at least, adequately armed. What was planned to guard the sons will equally well guard the sire.

A very welcome shadow.

He is greeted with a sidelong glance and a murmured, "What say you? Does the sky speak of doom?"

"The sky and earth have never seemed wholesome." Glorfindel opines, "But this unmasking certainly does not bode well."

"That is true, but this madness seem of a different sort altogether." His eyes get distant - and then he shakes his head.

"The land here is hard to understand. But I do not like it's whispers. Something is coming apart."

Portents and omens of doom do not a happy Bright Shiner make.

Especially one whose home and friends are at risk. Especially one who has been told to do nothing.

It has sent him stalking the bar room floor, restlessly. Elrond may find himself with a not'cat brushing against his ankle, offering a grumbling purr.

"You do not like this either, friend," he says in a low voice. It's not a question. How could it be?

"Of course not," snorts the not'cat, dryly. "My home is threatened, and I have been told to wait and do nothing."

Ohh, how he resents it.

"By whom?" Elrond asks. It sounds like a unreasonable request - but there may be things at work only known to some. And he is curious.
