"You know what that is?" Teja says, amazed. "That must be made common knowledge immediately. All worry about it. Why is it here, and where did it come from?"
There's a rather perturbed looking McCabe sitting nearby. He's still a little hung over from yesterday's post-mortem bender. That isn't stopping him from working on another one. It's surprising how much a man can hold down when he's got a lot to regret and there's no risk of alcohol poisoning. He turns his head slowly toward Teja.
"Noticed it earlier th's mornin'," he mutters. "Thought maybe 'd had too much 'n was seein' things. Then I thought maybe it was Hell tryin' to break through 'n collect."
He takes a swig of whiskey. "Don't know what it is now."
"The green thing?" Teja says. "Guppy just told me that it is a Sims Diamond, and it being green is supposed to be a good sign. Where it comes from or why it is there, he could only offer speculation of, though."

"It's still green, that's something."

He looks as quiet and grim as always. Nothing gives away what kind of night he had.
"Why should a change in colour be bad?"

There, the next seat over, the Lightbringer, the Adversary, the Princess of Darkness.
Eshara, for her close ones.

The devil, as he knows her, has never been bad news to him.
