Sam woke up when he heard a boom and felt things shift in a way he couldn't understand other than it was wrong. He wanted to go and investigate what was out in the forest but could almost hear Mogget's snide voice asking what he would with what he found out there

He will find Teja seated at the bar, eating his breakfast of bread and moretum, and cured meat, of which he may be sharing morsels with his cats.

He frowns at the glowing crystal as he sits next to Teja and gets his breakfast.

"Greetings, and a good morrow," Teja says, "even though it may be one of the last that are good, in this place. Doom is impending."
