"Those look nice." That would be Peeta dropping, unceremoniously, onto a stool next to her, paying far more attention to the sparklers than to the cake at all.

"Though I'm wondering if I'm supposed to try to blow them out or if they'll extinguish themselves or if it's time to break out the wand.

He looked to her, adding, "Hey," with an easy boyish smile. Amused at not saying it first. But still going right back to the sparklers. "It doesn't look like they're dripping."

That is entirely interest she's hearing in his voice.

She's not familiar with all the wares of Diagon Alley.

"I'm confused by all of this unbirthday, uhm - birthdayness. But happy unbirthday birthday all the same? And should I wish you a happy birthday too? For the regular one, I mean."

"But the cake is very pretty.
