William is in another chair by the fireplace with his leg stretched out over an ottoman and a hot water bottle on his knee.

Today he's reading Little Men as he got it for Christmas and finding out that he kind of likes Louisa May Alcott, he thinks of her as someone that Mary Bennet would like more than he would.

Tower is watching the kid -- boy, young man, something in-between.

He's much too earnest and un-destructive for Tower's taste. Poor guy wouldn't even enjoy, say, a row of his school enemies falling into a pool in an amusing way.

If it came down to it, William would rather punch them himself as a pool wouldn't be that funny to him and he squirms as he feels someone watching him.

"Hello there," Tower says, puffing on his cigar.

The front door opens and in walks Amascut, wearing something much darker and greener than she usually does. Well, she has left the headgear at home. It is about time that she readies herself for the fight ahead, and she might as well practice wearing the armor she plans on wearing.

Ah! A familiar face!

"Hello Tower. It has been a while since I have spoken to you."

"Amascut!" he says. "My dear, how nice to see you!"

"Shhh, you are going to cause mass amnesia by saying my name that loud. Some people don't appreciate their memories being destr..." her concerned look turns into a smirk.

"Oh, look at me, being concerned for memories people are to stubborn to let go. How have you been occupying yourself?"

"Watching the economy crash, mostly," Tower says. "And a few tyrants fall, quite comically if you appreciate that sort of thing. And you?"

"Hey," says a little boy by Tower's knee. He's tugging at the man's trousers with one small hand while the other is dragging a book by the cover. "Hey, story time."

He holds the book up by its covers for Tower to see.

Meanwhile, Mia is nearby trying to figure out what to do about her son soliciting stories from anyone and everyone he can find. Especially ones sitting in nice chairs and have more lap space than Mama to sit in.

"I know who you are, young man!" Tower chuckles, looking down at him, then over to Mia.

"Yah," Cepheus agrees.

Because a lot of people know who he is.

"I hope you're not getting a big head about it, Cepheus," his mother says, arms folded over her bulging abdomen.

Though her eyes are merry when she speaks about that.

"Baby," Cepheus informs Tower, pointing to Mia.

"Which leads to his problem, Tower," she says. "He's running out of room to sit on my lap for story time."

"I know you're the son of your mother, who is my friend!" Tower laughs.

The Fool ambles through the room with straw in his hair and his hat askew. Lord only knows what he was doing, but it looks like maybe he was trying to find a needle in a haystack.

He does seem to be in a good mood, though when he spots Tower he does stop and do a bit of a surprised double take.

"I didn't know you were here?"

"I didn't know you were!" Tower laughs back. "Only some of our more airy-fairy sisters, and dour brothers."

"Well, I don't think that is my fault," he says with a grin.

Of course it's not the Tower's fault either, but that's besides the point all together.

He puts his walking stick over his shoulder and wanders over to Tower. "But I have only been here a little while."

"And I've only been here very rarely," Tower counters. "Scotch?"
