After a particularly interesting arrival, Kanaya arrives at the back door with her sleeping friend still in her arms. It takes a moment of shifting and juggling around, but eventually the troll manages to coax the door open and takes a step inside-

Only to take a hasty step back with a muttered curse she's picked up from Karkat.

"Oh" she says,

In a suspiciously velvety-looking purple armchair in one dim corner, there rests a pale-haired young maiden, a tome of eldritch lore open upon her knees, eyes closed in what was meant to be merely a moment's rest.

"It is quite lovely, is it not? The exterior region of this locale is not dissimilar in climate and appearance to the Northern Hemisphere of Earth, actually."

"I wish that there was some way that I could show you Earth in truth. Well. I suppose I could always endeavour to impose upon one of the people from one of the many alternate Earths that appear to exist here, but I would feel a bit awkward."

And it wouldn't actually be her Earth, anyway.

She realizes a horrifying moment too late what she's just said, and promptly flushes a light shade of jade.

"No, it is all right, I understood the meaning that you intended to convey."

Though she is blushing slightly herself.

"Good" she says, her voice a little strained as she looks anywhere but at Rose.

And It Would Not Do For One Of Us To Inadvertently Insult The Other
Through Careless Wordplay"

Rose's words pull another, unexpected smile from the troll.

Rose returns the smile.

"Would you perhaps be interested in trying some of the amenities here?"

"With You As My Guide I Think I May Be Able To Be Coaxed To Try Some Of Said Amenities"

"Then I shall endeavour to be the pinnacle of all Guides."

Rose captchalogues her tome, still open so as not to lose her place, and stands, before captchaloguing her chair.
