There aren't a lot of sunny days left at Milliways before the Scottish winter moves in and settles in place hard. Still, there are a few left and Janet van Dyne is taking advantage of one to recover from her latest round of 'Quinjets for non-pilots' with a walk around the lake ( Read more... )

One problem about spending a lot of time in space is lack of sun exposure and thus one can end up pale and vitamin D deficient. With her return to Milliways Val can correct this so she is taking advantage of the sunny day by laying out. It totally is all about the vitamin D and nothing to do with the pale...really.

Perish the thought.

"Isn't that a little cold?"

Probably not if you manage to stay out of the breeze, but still.

"Yeah but I've got a blanket warming when it gets too cold," Val replies looking up. Her eyes widen a bit as this looks like a Wasp, aka Janet van Dyne but best to play it casual for now. "I don't think we've met, I'm Val von Doom."

"Janet van Dyne," comes the automatic reply. Then, "Any relation to a Victor von Doom?"

Clementine's not walking - she's just sunning herself on a rock by the lakeshore. And it's always nice to see Janet.

"Hey, Jan."

"Pretty good. It's almost Halloween on my side of the door," she admits. "How's it on your end?"

"Good, good," says Janet, "Every day we spend more of Tony's money and get closer to stuffing the bad guys back in prison. It'd be easier if they didn't multiply when we weren't looking though. I swear they're like rabbits."

That can sometimes breathe fire. So Milliways rabbits.

Jen happens to also want to enjoy the weather before it gets frozen. This is why she exits the bar and strolls towards Jan while she looks at the lake. It's beautiful this time of year and she's hoping for a glance at the giant squid that purportedly lives in the lake. This is also why she doesn't see Jan until she's almost on top of her.

When she does see her, her mouth falls open.

She's speechless.

Skrull? Other form of shapeshifter? Or has Jan been exiled to Milliways for her death?

"Jan?"

[[OOC: Oh mah gawd, I'm so sorry it took so long to respond to this. Real life mugged me and left me for dead on the side of the road.]]

Big. Green. Calling her by name.

"Do I know you?"

"Do..."

Jen again is speechless, and that's saying something since she talks for a living.

"...That's only a question you can answer. But I know you."

Alternate universe? A younger version of the Jan she knows who's discovered Milliways before meeting Jen? An amnesiac Jen? Skrull? Clone? The possibilities are endless.

"This is going to end up like the different Ben Grims. I can feel it all ready," mutters Janet before speaking up again, "So I'm Janet van Dyne and I'm guessing you aren't a Bruce even if there's a family resemblance?"
