Apollo is at a table, with a sign. For once, it's not a haiku, if only because he wanted to say a little more than concisely fits in that verse.

It's been a long time since Kendra's been to Milliways, which means that she missed the wiener roast and the attendant chaos.

When a door opens from the Stonechat Museum to admit her -- she'd been on her way out to patrol St. Roch, which was long overdue since the Crisis -- she mutters a resigned curse.

The first thing she sees is Apollo's sign. She reads it and then reads it again.

Approaching his table, she can't help but ask.

"Hot dog menace?" says the winged woman in full costume.

"Hot dog menace," Apollo says. "Like werewolves, only with hot dogs. It was weird."

"Like werewolves, only with hot dogs,?" Kendra asks, incredulous.

"I leave this place for two months and look what happens. How was the dire threat vanquished? Agreed about the weird part."

It's not just weird - it's weird to a four-thousand-year-old god whose family squabbles a lot. And whose father has gone to some really bizarre lengths to get laid.
"Few of us went out back and found the alpha hot dog. That thing was nasty."
