So as he's on his way back to the Bar, he notices the woman sitting and comes over to Lily and tips his hat and says,
"Miss, there's a dangerous mermaid in there. I wouldn't recommend sittin' too close to the water,"
He has a pistol on his belt and slight bags under his eyes.

"Thank you for the warning, but I think I'll be all right," she says.
She's safely on the rocks and not inclined to go wading.
