When Albus enters the bar this evening for his usual study-break, he's given a list of books from the last time he'd spoken to Claudia along with his usual snack

"Special delivery," Lily says, cheerfully, dropping a Muggle airmail envelope in between Albus and his plate of scones, and taking the seat across from his.
Astoria may be staring at him the way one stares at someone they vaguely recognize.
As it is she wonders if she's seeing some Harry Potter from one of those other dimensions Mia mentioned. One where, perhaps, he's tried that lasir-eye surgery she had read about in an old copy of Muggle Magic Monthly she found in her Healer's office.
Oh, Merlin, she didn't think she was being that obvious. They should really warn you that one of the little-mentioned side-effects of pregnancy was going completely daft.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to stare. I thought you were someone I... know." The last word sounds too intimate somehow for someone you only passed a few times in the corridor.
He doesn't head over and throw himself into a chair across from the other boy as he might normally do. He lingers by his own table for a good long while, feeling shyer than usual after his chat with Posner.
Albus has a book and he doesn't need Scorpius bothering him, anyway.
But, not talking to Albus? Proves far more difficult than Scorpius would have thought, given how very little they talk at Hogwarts.
He's soon pushing away from his table and shuffling his feet over to Albus'.

"Via Owl Post and dimensional doorway.
"Hello, Albus."

He reads his name, notes 'Spenser' and smiles.
"Erm. Thank you, Lily."
He starts to open it.

"If you mean more specifically than that, I don't know.
"I haven't read it.
"It wasn't addressed to me."

He excitedly pulls the page from its envelope.
"Um. Should I read it aloud?"

It happens so often at school, after all.
He glances up and meets eyes with Astoria, his a very bright green. They quickly look away.
He's sure he recognizes her too.
But only very vaguely.

Or something.
He glances back up again at the sound of her voice.
"Erm. Is that right?" Albus asks. "My dad, maybe? Or - um. My granddad?"

But then he smiles.
"Hi," he echoes. "Um. I didn't know you were here today."
He closes his book.

Scorpius hesitates, gaze dropping to the closed book on the table.
" - Around."
Albus probably came to Milliways to get away from the noisy common room and the nosy, interrupting sorts like Scorpius to read.

People don't generally care what Albus Potter does anymore, at least not enough to interrupt him.
His friends don't count.
"Erm. D'you want to sit?"

...Well, he's trying, anyway.

But Albus has sort of developed a sixth sense for people looking in his direction. Usually because they're likely talking about him in some manner.
Not always a good manner, either.
His eyes go to Alex - and then he sort of ... well, blinks a little.
Didn't he just see Scorpius?

Yeah.
Albus is slowly starting to realize that this boy might not be Scorpius.
Usually, by now, Scorpius would've just gotten up to sit at his table, making himself comfortable.
Well, usually.
Recently, it hasn't seemed so much like that's been the case ...
Anyway.
"Hi."
