"I don't have any friends who're bad at fighting."

Jay grins, wide and bright. "Says somethin' about a person, that."

"Figure it says more about this ruttin' place."

Smugly, "I know. S'why I picked 'em."

Jason grins.

"So. When you got in mind for this little trip?"

"I'll keep you posted," Mel says. "I'm making use of bartime right now, 'cause I got a project outside needs seeing to."

"I'll be around. Don't have a door yet."

"Sucks." Pleasantly.

"Hey, if you go swimming, go armed, OK?"

Jason's gun won't like the water. His knife won't mind it.

Jason nods and resettles his knife in his boot, thoughtfully.

"What's she look like?"

He can't go around killing everyone.

Mel eyes him.

"She looks like the person trying to kill you."

And no killing anyone else!

Jason narrows his eyes at her. "Well, how will she try and kill me, then?"
