Rae's been feeling the pressure to return to her world, lately. Axel had (and she hates to use this word) loaned her three of his Assassins, to help her find the vampires who were moving into the recently-vacated hunting ground that is the city of New Arcadia. She sometimes forgot they were there, until she saw the shimmer of movement at floor-

Rae may hear chirping and purring from about the level of her knees as she contemplates her choices.

Sunshine steps back, blinking down at the.. little, fuzzy thing.

"Oh... hello."

Careful of the Assassins hidden in the floorboards. >_> They won't attack, but... be careful, anyway.

The creature, who is currently building something which might be a ladder, stops its work and waves. It then chitters and chirps and though it doesn't speak any English words, still it is clearly saying, "Hello, how are you?"

"I'm... fine," she says, still wondering at the little creature. It's not like any Other she knows about, which probably means there aren't any of this type in her world. "And you?"

Soon enough, Sunshine has company in the form of her shapeshifted friend, the doctor-turned-lynx following the interesting scent of cinnamon, baking, and...sunlight? until she stealthily arrives at the woman's side, leaning against her legs and purring loudly.

"Hello, Sunshine."

There's a lynx leaning and purring at her.

A very familiar-sounding lynx.

"Remy????" Cue befuddled amazement. "That you?"

[numbered_doctor]

"Yep," comes the familiar (albeit rumbling) voice, and the feline looks up at her with bright green eyes. "Looking over your Cubefall options ?"

"Yeah," she says, eyeing them again. "I don't know whether I should try it or not."

"I don't want to be a guy - I don't want to be a robot..." she says, emphatically, "and I don't know whether I'd want to be a wolf or not."

A wolf... really isn't like her. Is it?

The wolf lounging near the fireplace might help her. If only she knew who he is...

Alas, she does not know it's the baking Scottish assassin. She just knows that the bar looks different today, and that she's been given the option of changing her shape for a few days.

But she's not sure which she'd pick.

Rae looks around the bar room, thinking, eyeing the construction sets, the furnace, the odd increase in the number of robots or animals in the bar, including that wolf near the furnace. Apparently someone was given the same choice she's been given.

It's a very contented and relaxed wolf. Next to him, shoulders touching, a white-and-brown dog is curled up, asleep.

That's some pretty telling evidence, right there.

Sunshine eyes her choices, biting her bottom lip as she considers it. She feels she might miss out on something fun, if she doesn't do it. But then, at the same time, she might be miserable.

Oh well. She'll deal, one way or another.

There's soon a long-legged red wolf wandering among the tables and chairs, over towards the fire.

"Y'don't have t'pick any of them, y'know," Axel points out.

He never has. It used to be that he was too new in his heart (and other organs) to feel comfortable picking another form like that. Now... Well, now it's mostly just habit.

Sunshine looks over her shoulder at him and smiles, wry. "I know. I'm just curious."

"I've had some minor experience with what it feels like to be an animal, but that was... the memories of a deer's last day. A wolf is completely different."

It eats meat, for one.

"Though I had meant to head home, today." She feels she's put it off long enough.

"Yeah, you're worried about things, aren't you?"

He's... Really not actually familiar with the sentiment.

"Well, there's a lot to be worried about," she says, dry. As though the idea of her city being caught in a vampire gang war didn't scare her to death.

"What is this?"

Riku can tell that she needs help choosing. However, he has no idea what this holiday is either. Despite the fact he has been coming to the bar for quite awhile, he's never actually encountered it before.

And he doesn't like reading explanations. Lazy jerk!

Riku, you lazy bum. I thought I'd find you... wait.

"Hey, Riku. Some holiday called Cubefall," Sunshine says, looking over her choices again. "Celebrating a time of... change and new beginnings, apparently. It's why the bar's like this, and all the patrons apparently get a choice of three things they can turn into for three days."

"I just can't decide whether I should participate, or go on home."

Plz to be ignoring the three Assassin Nobodies near-invisible in the floor by her feet. >__>

He knows that something is off in the area. He doesn't see them yet - not yet - but he can feel it. Riku has a bit of a distracted look in his eyes, as he tries to figure out what is off, but he is still paying her attention.

He can multi-task, after all.

"Would it affect you after you went home?"

This would change his answer.

"I shouldn't think so. Usually costume changes and things only affect you here," she replies, smiling slightly. "That's what I've heard, at least."
