Munch is looking a little world-weary as he enters the bar tonight. Even after twelve years on the job, not to mention 25 years as a murder cop before that, somehow some of the things that human beings can do to each other still surprises him.

She noticed that there was actually someone tending the bar while she was ferrying a stack of ceramic bowls from her world to some place in Milliways' massive "back yard". It is on a return trip that she decides to sit at the bar and look over the specials.

"What is a fruit punch"?

"It's like fruit juice, only with more sugar," Munch answers.

"Huh, aren't fruit juices sweet enough as it already is?"

He shrugs. "Yeah, most are. But it's mostly about selling the product and making a profit."

Elrond looks over the Special's list. He too is slightky puzzled by the term "soft drinks" but assumes it is just another way to say non-alcoholic.

He settles at the bar and asks for a beer. He sounds vaguely British, but there's a lilt to his pronunciation that isn't easy to place. His hair is very long and dark and hangs freely down his back and shoulders.

Munch nods, making no comment about the long, dark hair. He's lived through the 1960s, after all.

"Any specific kind?" he asks.

"A dark ale?" Elrond suggests. He could give specifics abvout brewing methods but brand names are beyond him.
